••• From Bourbon Trails to Derby Winners •••

What’s the name of this city anyway? You’ll hear people saying Loo ey ville, Lou a vul, Louis vil, Luh vul -- and various other pronunciations. They all work, but if you want to sound like a local, don’t call it Louis vil. This gorgeous region of Kentucky, sometimes called the Bourbon Trail or Derby Country, is focused around a hip, modern city, surrounded by an artsy community, mixed in with some history-laden sites, one world-famous horse race, and some distilleries creating some fire water known as bourbon.

You’ll see signs proclaiming “Keep Louisville Weird”, and you should do your part.
This app features your introductions to the finest attractions, unique shops and hometown-proud restaurants that Louisville has to offer. But don’t be afraid to head out of town a bit too, to see the darling towns and beautiful countryside that give Kentucky her character.

Also included are a few Kentucky Landmarks. Places such as Mammoth Cave, Natural Bridge and Cumberland Falls, which are not actually in the Derby Region, but are a sampling of some of Kentuckys most famous sites. If you have time for a 2- or 3-hour drive, you might want to add these to your itinerary.
